Students Have Many Options For Thanksgiving

The mere mention of the word can have people salivating for turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing enjoyed with family and friends at home. At Providence, however, many members of our student body are from out of state or even out of country. This is no excuse for anyone to stay on campus unless they sincerely want to. For those of you who are lacking a place to stay over Thanksgiving, consider connecting with one of the following generous hosts.

  • Pastor Quentin Falkena and his wife, Amanda, from First United Reformed Church in Chino are more than willing to house a few people that needed a place to stay over Thanksgiving. If you are interested, contact him at First URC Chino: 909-591-9111.
  • Many students, including Mayra Martinez and myself have extended invitations to  stay with them over the holiday break.
  • For the latest updates on Thanksgiving options, you can contact the Student Life office.

If you don’t have a place to stay, don’t be shy to ask someone. No one should be alone on Thanksgiving, especially when so many kind folks are willing to open up their homes to hungry students.

Happy Thanksgiving to all Providence students, family, and friends!
